Blush Tropical Toile Tissue Paper, Palms and Sailb Paper

by Whitney_English
Tissue gets crushed, folded and peeked at rather than laid flat, so the repeat is set generously at 9 inches — a scene survives the crumple where a small one would not. The pattern is a toile in the proper sense: repeating vignettes of palms, sailboats and pavilions, drawn the way 18th-century French printed cottons were, but in blush and sage instead of the traditional single ink. Good inside a gift bag, a shipping box, or a shop package where the reveal matters as much as the thing inside.
