Figs, leaves, bronzing, scrolls, ribbons, and that marvelous deep red-purple lettering sit against a rich red patterned border — restored from a varnished near-goner into a lush, elegant accent pillow.

It has the feel of pantry treasure, Gulf Coast fruit, and old commercial art behaving far more grandly than fig jam had any right to behave.
