It was a bell tower (belfry) for time signals and alarms that once stood in Okayama City and burned down in 1945.
Artist :川瀬巴水 (Kawase Hasui / かわせ はすい)
Kawase Hasui (1883–1957) was a master Japanese printmaker of the shin-hanga (new print) movement. Known as the "Poet of Travel", he created over 600 nostalgic landscape prints capturing scenic, rainy, and snowy views of Japan. His work deeply influenced Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, who famously collected Hasui's atmospheric woodblock prints for their pure aesthetic inspiration.
