Pan Am Expo with Bison and Native American Motifs Card

by Heirloom_Victoriana
This square flat card design is a restored copy of an authentic Victorian souvenir chromolithograph from the 1901 Pan American Exposition which was held in Buffalo, New York. The artwork includes a portrait of Pan, the ancient Greek god of the wild, shepherds, flocks, rustic music, and untamed nature in the upper left hand corner. It also features numerous Native American elements, including a scene with Native American tipis, the Seal of the City of Buffalo, and an American bison at the eastern edge of the Great Plains. Utility poles carry early electrical technology generated by Niagara Falls, a major force in early 20th century economic development of the Buffalo, New York region.
Please note: The gold tones are printed as photo-gold colors, not metallic foil.
